"Where The
Fun Never Sets!"
WINTER 2011-2012
The ongoing project of connecting to the City of Yuma sewer system
is nearing completion. We hope to have the last septic tanks converted
by the end of January.
Our winter season is in full swing with activities starting at
6:00 AM and continuing until 11:00 PM. Sometimes it is difficult
to prioritize activities because there are so many and it is impossible
to participate in everything.
The second story of our fitness center is getting new flooring
to make it better for activities such as table tennis. Our Zumba
class also needed a surface other than the rubber flooring, so
the new laminate will be appreciated by that large group.
The Fun Times Café has a new chef with a completely different
menu. Mike likes to make everything from scratch. We are enjoying
new specialties such as hamburgers made from fresh ground beef
(not frozen patties) served on fresh baked rolls. New entrees
include lasagna, meat loaf, chicken parmesan, ham and scalloped
potatoes, shrimp Louie and much more.
Over the summer months our retention area became a new park for
all kinds of new activities. There is a new artificial turf chipping
and putting green and four new driving cages. A quarter-mile walking
path is almost complete and will have some stretching stations,
etc. We have a basketball hoop, a fire pit and a volley ball court.
Two bocce ball courts are nearing completion and a track for radio
controlled cars is being finished.
